So, my beardie’s cage is in my room and I have cats. Whenever I leave I shut my door. Well I got home after being gone for hours, moving into our new house, to find my door open. My little brother opened it and forgot to close it but basically, the mesh was broken into and my beardie was just laying on the floor of her cage. One of my cats broke it and did something. I picked her up and she moved very minimally, but let me handle and pet her. There were no injuries I could see, but her mouth seems a little off? She kept flicking her tongue like something was wrong. She’s moved around very little since then and just lays on her favorite spot. She’s normally a very active little thing.
This happened a few hours ago. I called a vet immediately and told them what happened, got an appointment scheduled for Tuesday (the earliest I could). They told me to just keep an eye on her until then, try feeding her later, make sure her light is all right, etc. told me she was probably just really traumatized. I
What makes matters worse is that I’m literally right in the middle of a move, so she’ll have to be stuck in a car for a while when we finally leave.
I haven’t tried feeding her yet—I will when we get t our house—but between this incident and the move, I’m betting she won’t eat... though I’ll still try.
Anyone have any advice for me until I can take her to the vet ):
