Trance like state while eating

Hello, i just got a new Beardie about two weeks ago,his name is Bob, he is 5-6 months old. The pet store told me he was eating 6-8 cricks a day, i quickly learned that this is not enough, he eats collard greens, dandelion greens, sweet potato, butternut squash and carrots, also 15-25 cricks per day. He lives in a 36" by 18" Terranium, his basking temp is 95, cool side 80. Yesterday while feeding cricks he froze and went into a trance like state for about 10 min, he had eaten maybe 10 cricks and there were still about 4 running around, He was frozen, and nonresponsive, the cricks were right in front of him and it was like he didnt even notice, after a couple of min he did eat them but barely moved to get them. This concerned me as usually he becomes very animated and excited to chase them down, i waited two hours then gave him a bath, he did poop after and seemed back to normal. Today he is fine, he is also shedding (my first experience) and ive heard that they will not eat properly during this time, this isnt the case, he is eating normally, was just a little worried about the trance he was in, maybe the cricks running around scared him?? Or maybe he was just full? Why the trance? any thoughts would be great! Thanks!
