i had made up a rice sock for a long journey and Gizmo wont let me take it away, she will literally run after me if she sees me with it! Its on her basking spot and she will snuggle on it, sit on it, move it around a bit......

Once a day when I put him back into the tank I would put him on top of the turtle. I swapped it up with the feedings I did once after breakfast then lunch then dinner and so on and he never seemed to be on top of it for very long.

Now the funny thing is he does know what he cage is I figured that out the other day. I have been letting him roam around my room more and more but of course I watch a close eye on him. Well for the past two days after he has walked around for a little while (or I guess when he gets hungry because both times he went and ate.) But he will jump onto the floor heater (I turn it off when he walks around) but when he is on top of it he will try to glass dance. It is so funny

This is the reason I think it would be to hard to give him a blanket.... this is where he goes pretty much right after dinner and will sit there for an hour to hour and half waiting on me to turn off the lights....

pretty much like i said he will go into that little spot pretty much every night. I just get worried because it seems to be cold down there but doesn't seem to bother him.

As long is it stays over 65* then I wouldn't worry about it. Beardies who aren't used to being put to bed most likely just want to be left alone when it comes to bed time. They want a hiding spot because they are vulnerable when sleeping. If you were to wrap him in a blanket he would get that same sense of security that he gets from hiding in his current spot.

Maybe thats why he goes down there because he gets tired of my checking his temps with a flashlight at night lol..... oops lol. I'm sure it stays above 65 because the normal spot in the tank is around 70 on the cold side at night so I doubt that spot gets much lower. His body just seems really cold to me in the mornings or when I take him out of there.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
