Tired after play

I’ve noticed that after I play with Boga outside of her enclosure, she tends to lie down as if she’s tired. Since I take her out after dinner, I thought it was because it was close to bed time. But today I had her out while her tank was cleaned and she laid down and turned down her hornworms. They’re her favorite and they’re treats, so normally she goes nuts for them, even falling off her hammock to get to them.

Is it normal for dragons to be tired after play? Weather shift? I’ve heard some reptiles “crash” after human interaction, but I don’t know what this means.

Hi there,

How long does it usually take for her to get "tired"

Remember they are cold blooded reptiles, so as their bodies cool, they will get slower and slower, and thus look and act more tired. They need their proper temperatures to stay active. So, if it's a bit cool in your house, or shes been out for a long time without a chance to warm back up, its very likely that she's just slowing down due to cooling down :)
