Thinking about attending this year, was wondering if it would be worth it?

I live in Michigan so It's about a 5 hour drive for me, I would be staying probably overnight in Chicago just to see the city I have never been there and I hear it is cool.

Has anyone been to this show and would you say it is worth the trip?

I live right next to tinley park! I am probably going to go up there, seeing as I've never been to a reptile show. Might as well go to one thats about 10 minutes away :)

Pravius, chicago is really nice, I live about 20 minutes from downtown. I wouldn't be able to tell you about the reptile show though :( But I hope you have a fun trip if you decide to attend this one!

Thanks! I think we may have decided to save it for another day. We would only be going for 2 days which my girlfriend and I want to save Chicago for when we have more time to spend in it like a long weekend or something. Plus who has money these days... I sure don't so it would probably be better to save some.... then I can just buy another dragon with the money I saved from not going to the show!

Pravius... I also live in Michigan and have found some nice reptile expos here. I don't know where you are at, but there is a pretty nice one in Kalamazoo. It's the Kalamazoo Reptile Expo and they have them monthly at the fairgrounds. There is also one in Grand Rapids, West Michigan Reptile Expo. That one is also monthly. Just thought I'd mention it.

I am actually in South East Michigan near Lake St. Claire. I have been to the Taylor show several times.. it's nice but pretty small and there is not a ton of Bearded Breeders there. I am looking for a very specific girl!

I figured it may be cheaper for me to just order online maybe or there is a breeder here locally somewhere in Michigan that is into the Leatherbacks/trans. Thing that I hate is I have to miss a day of work if I have one shipped!

I have never been to the Kalamazoo show or out west because it is several hours away for me and I do not think they are big enough to justify the trip but you never know!

I also live right next to Tinley Park. I live in Palos Hills and I have never been to a Reptile show either I will either be going to the Tinley Park show or the Reptile expo in Wheaton which I hear is really good.

I have been to the one in wheaton it is not bad there are a lot of vendors there. and the prices on stuff isnt bad either. i did talk to a lady who had 2 adult beardies and she told me she kept them in a 40 breeder together, i felt bad since Colasis isnt even full grown and he is in a 75 gallon, other than missinformed customers the show was good. one vendor even had puppies for sale. anyway not a bad show if you dont live to far.

Haha I want to get another dragon but I got my hands full with the little guy I have now he is growing so fast and eating more roaches than I can breed. So I may have to just bring enough money for admission and a soda.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
