I'm having the same problem as alot of you that can not get your dragons to eat their veggies, no matter what kind how many times you change their food. I was boggled by this so i started trying different things. I was able to get him to eat baby food so i decided to put his veggies in the blender and get it to the same consistency as the baby food, he was gobbling it down off my finger. Its a good way to hydrate them as well because you have to water to get it to a mushy form... I put in collard greens, parsley, a few carrots, some butternut squash, and one strawberry. Just thought i would throw this out there since it worked for me, hopefully it may help others. Then i think every week ill make it less fine until its just chopped up without the blender and see if this will entice him to eat his greens.. good luck

lol i wish i could say the same thing, i dont think its that he dont want to eat them just maybe looks a little odd to him, not sure if the pet shop fed them any greens, i do know they were giving them crickets though, hopefully i can get him to warm up to them where alls i have to do is rip them up or chop them up and throw them on his plate.

Great idea! Mine has never been one for baby food in any significant amounts, so I had to come up with a different approach.

I have always had great difficulty getting mine to eat her veggies. She is now 18 inches long. I have even gone the route of witholding feeder insects until I see evidence of salad-eating. She chose to go hungry. :banghead:
Most recently, I have been spending time watching TV with my beardie on my lap. When I stroke her chin, she opens her mouth a bit. So, hold a couple of leaves in one hand, stroke the chin with the other, and shove leaves in when she opens her mouth. After a half hour or so, we manage to get a half cup or so of salad eaten. We keep going until she no longer accepts the hand feeding.
Later, she gets some dubias or superworms such that we get to an 80% greens and veggies and 20% bugs ratio.

Hopefully, she will come around to eating the greens and veggies voluntarily.

that would be a sight to see, rubbing the chin with one hand and feeding with the other haha, bet thats cute, im going to do whatever it takes for him to warm up to his veggies and the sooner i start the better, hes little now so i know hes not going to eat much, and i think he is a private eater on his greens, unless im hand feeding him. ive only cought him once eating off his plate. but i know he eats because there is less than what used to be there if i leave for a while.. silly little runts

Do you think you could freeze that "blend" of greens into ice cube trays for later dates...or do they lose their "mojo" after being frozen? I think I read that frozen greens don't carry the same nutritional value as fresh.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
