she ate 7 crickets probly 5 or 6 supers........90% of them had cal d3.....i also have more horned worms on the way possibly.

You can get a good digital thermometer with probe at Walmart, the Acurite brand, for about $12.00. You will need to get an accurate reading on the egg temperatures or they won't survive. If you can pick up the digital with probe, you can check tank temps with it too.

Im sorry your family is wanting you to get rid of them getting the things they need is expensive at first. But they need all the things to make them healthy. UVB lighting is sooo important. I hope you find the reptiSUN 10 in a store.

You probably need to try and adopt the beardies out. It's not right for you to keep them there in sub-adueqate conditions because you don't have a job or whatever. Anyway, you'll probably do what you want, but really these are one of the most expensive pets I've ever dealt with and shouldn't be taken on unless you are ready for the responsibility of doing what is necessary to ensure these animals have at least a happy life.

I totally agree that they're expensive, I did the math and each of my beardies costs me 4 times what my dog costs me in a month. But I also agree that once you've stocked up on quality products the price to maintain them drops quite a bit. If you can just make it over that first (HUGE) hump then the rest is totally worth it. Hang in there, once you get a proper light your lizard will start feeling/acting so much better that it will make it all seem worth it.

i think you do need to get rid of them all together. that is the best thing you have said here so far. I have read the advise given in this thread and it is all very good advise. The upsetting part about most of it is that you have asked for help, but chose to ignore most of it and got upset when people told you something you didn't want to hear. I am glad that you appear to finally be making a sound decision by giving them to someone who can and will take the proper care.

I am really sorry to read this thread, If you really cant get a UVB bulb it is your responsibility to find a home that can provide the best care. By not putting a bulb in there when you know how important it is to their well being, you are neglegting them. As a responsible pet owner you should either provide what they need or find someone that can.

I have been reading this thread for some time, dispite manys attempts to help your girl out you dont seem responsive to the changes they have suggested and are somewhat hostile to those that are trying to help.

I am sorry if i have misunderstood in any way, but as a previous poster said, we all feel very strongly when it comes to caring for these dragons. If you do want to keep your dragons please i emplore you to provide the things they need.

If you were really concerned about it you'd tell your mom and dad the situation, that these animals are DYING because of lack proper care, ask your parents if you can do chores or something so you can properly take care of the animals.

It's like a child, it relies ENTIRELY on you for it's survival and well-being, and honestly, you are the kind of parent who lets their kid **** in their same diaper for a week straight in my opinion of what I've read here.

Are you just trying to get someone on here to GIVE you a light? Is that the point of this whole thing? You said you're going to have enough money in 90 days to buy a incubator............where is that magically coming from?

I don't know where you live, but is it warm enough to take them outside for some sunshine?
A few hours a day will go a long way in helping them. Maybe and hour or half hour in the morning and then again in the afternoon?

If you can take them outside, be sure it is in a safe way. They can get spooked and run off. You also don't want to put them out there in a glass tank. Maybe a large rubbermaid type container, and keep an eye on them so a big bird doesn't take off with them.
