have you looked into getting a thermo-regulation unit? that, paired with a ceramic heat emmiter and a good thermometer would make things easier for you perhaps.

i've heard you cant always trust the temps given by the unit itself tho. it takes some "dialing in" with a temp gun. i hope to get one of these eventually.

what is a thermo-regulation unit? Well - of course it is obviously something that regulates temperatures...but is there a specific product you were suggesting? I would like to check into that. When school starts again, my beardie will spend some time up at the school in another tank. It is very hard to control the temps there because i have no control over the air conditioning - and it varies alot.

Im checking the temp of Diablos basking spot right now, he spends most of his time there any way, well when he is in the tank. He is out alot too.

Thanks jscott...that sounds really cool! I am definitely going to look into that further. At home my temps stay pretty constant. But up at the school they are all over the place. I was already planning to use a different set-up than I did with my old beardie. But this might really help alot.

Barbara- I guess Bogie is a bit plump. All he does is eat and shed. He left almost an entire shed in the bath last night. Now he looks like he is going to shed again. Can they do that??? I think I'll try to get a picture of his tummy flattened out. My son says we should call him pancake, he gets so round and flat. LOL

I found the more Sweetie ate, the more she shed. She's now two and is still shedding but not all at once. Right now she's shedding under her chin, but not her beard and her left thight, but not the whole leg. I just love the beardie bellies I've seen on this thread, Bogie is so cute, he's got a real budda belly happening! Junior's belly is great, too. So keep the bellies coming!!
