The Intriguing Life of SHELDON! *SUPER HAPPY!

Hello kind people, if you haven't read my intro post here it is:

I thought I'd make an actual post dedicated to my precious little guy! I have tons of pics (just from today!) that I hope to upload by tomorrow.
Gah! I want to hold him so bad, but I must let him adjust. :roll:

Has anyone else had this problem?

I know! He is going shopping,camping, on walks, and pretty much everything with me! I just have to wait until he is older.

Sheldon is now 5 and a half inches! My little boy has grown an inch!

Hey guys! Sorry for lack of update, I was too worried to post. The pet store was out of his size crickets so I had to get slightly larger. I fed him a few, then he wouldn't poop! I felt hard stuff in his belly and was so worried! No other symptoms appeared so I gave him frequent mistings and daily baths. And lo and behold, today he pooped in the bath! All that tummy rubbing paid off, and now I'm using those larger crickets to breed. I know what you are thinking, but I don't mind the noise and I clean the cricket cage every other day, so I thought I might as well try it! Plus there was nothing else I could do with the crickets. I'm not planning to make it his only source of food, just on the side in case the pet store runs out again.

In other news, Sheldon has been getting way more relaxed and starting to explore new places to sleep!

And enjoys watching people on the couch.

Oh my gosh! Sheldon just gaped at me! I was letting him explore the stairs when he saw a colorful string. Instantly in love, he would not move from it! When I had to go get something I reached down to pick him up and he mad dogged me! He puffed out his beard and opened his mouth, but I wasn't really scared and instead started laughing. I reached over and started petting him while saying "Sheldon, baby bear, what's wrong?", he stopped gaping and let me pick him up. He is now happily wandering around my bathroom and smiling at me, like nothing happened. Oh, he is going to be a firecracker.

Hey guys! Long time, no post. hehehe :lol:
Anyways, I've been so busy with school that I have had NO TIME to post about my baby!
He has been doing so well! Cutest thing ever My family has fallen in love with him to the point where my little brothers are discussing what he should dress up as for Halloween! Every once in a while I beardie proof the heck out of my room and let him run around for hours while I do my schoolwork. It works out really well because he gets constant supervision, running around time, and I put his basking light close to the floor and his basking branch under it so he can bask also. Every once in a while he wont eat his breakfast but overall he eats everything I give him (the little chub!). He likes to sit on my keyboard but I have to watch him because he also likes to *ahem* poop on my keyboard.

I only have three pictures for now, most of them are on my phone.

I HAVE A GOAL!!!!!
Mark my words, I will potty train Sheldon!
He likes to use the bathroom in one corner of his cage so I have been experimenting with paper towels. After about two weeks of experiments I have concluded that he will use the paper towel if there is less then three poops on it. If there are more then he will go NEAR the paper towel, but not on it. So I'm going to try using a little container and putting the paper towel in there, then adding a tiny bit of play sand, and eventually only having play sand. Thoughts?

I would be a little worried about using the sand. Little beardies love to taste everything and if he eats enough of the sand, it could cause impaction. Especially if it clumps when it gets wet. If you have any ideas for a different "litter", I would deff use that instead.

On another note, sheldon is quite a cutie! Reminds me of my Catahoula, he's acting the same way. How long is Sheldon now?

8 INCHES!!!!!!!!!! HE IS EIGHT INCHES!!!!!! Oh my gosh, he is so big! I have now had him for three months.
