Oh it's not just petsmart. It's ALL of them! It was kind of cool, after I learned alot on here I was able to reeducate them (they HATE that! :lol: )..or cut into the conversation when some brilliant salesperson was misinforming someone else. lol Ok, maybe I still do that. hehe

I know it's pet co to i went to buy some feeder bugs and all of them had dead bugs and mold everywhere!!!!!!!!! lol i want to do that but i am afraid they wont listen they said they will sell you a gender of your choice then you ask for a female then they say there to young to tell.

Anything to make a buck. Don't be afraid to say something, that's not right if they are dead and it's moldy, they need to do some serious cleaning. Keep in mind they feed those bugs to the animals in the store. If they won't listen, ask for a manager.

yes they just want money!!!!!! and i saw something super sad at petsmart i saw a perilized bearded dragon at petsmart and i saw the dominance and yes they need to do some cleaning up really bad and those animals are so sick.

There was a paralyzed beardie there?? In the cages or just sitting somewhere? How do you know it was paralyzed? Did they say what they were doing with the poor thing? It breaks my heart to hear things like this.

it was in the cage it was dragging the feet and it was really sad it looked as it was very ill i it broke my heart to i was about crying they had it in with another beardie the keep like 10-15 beardies in a cage together and it was maybe a 5 gallon and they are hypocrite's they say don't leave live bugs in the cage and i saw like 5 like crickets in the cage with no one watching!

That is sickening. They always say that they don't leave crickets in with them. And then you ALWAYS see them in there.

I noticed the thread has 3 pages now, how funny!
It is a shame how they treat reptiles in the petstores. They don't usually treat the bugs/insects much better either. Most of them are very dirty.

Yes, the local pet stores that are not chains are usually much better than the chains. They have animal welfare at heart most of the time.

yes they took great care of there animals and they agreed that in just a few day's you can find out to never put them together (unless breeding) and what light's they need and tank size it's pretty easy to find out the basics.

I have to agree, that Tracie is wonderful with beardies. She has helped me with Geico and Emily a few times. Anytime I see her post something I read the thread and am always learning, mostly from her, Esther and Diamc. I also learned of some great books through reading Tracie's threads and have purchased them and learned a lot more. I don't know as much have learned enough over the last two yrs to keep my beardies as healthy as I possibly can. Sometimes I will look up something like why its bad to let a beardie be on its back and posted a long thing about it. I love this forum and its knowledgeable moderators and will not hesitate to ask when I need to know something if I cant find it in my beardie health or surgical books. Thank you Tracie, Esther, Diamc and several others for teaching me what I need to know. You all are an invaluable source of information along with several others like ABDH? I can never remember her initials.
