Temps whats right??

Alright well ive become quite confused about temperatures although looking at too much stuff on the internet will do that to you on any thing lol. but i need a straight answer some places i see temps need to be 100-110. 110 being max. ive seen that serveral times on the forums and some times like 98-99 at other places but i found ANOTHER answer today as i was reading the ReptileUV FAQ and stumbled upon this.... "Your 100 degree heat at the basking area is too cold for active BD's and should be 110+ otherwise they won't shuttle and stay active. Some of my friends are using 120 basking temps to keep their BDs as active as they would be in nature" I have been advised to take my basking temp "higher" by the local herp/zoologist. So many answers to one question it gets confusing lol any help is apprieciated!

120+ really is too hot unless you have a huge cage and multiple basking areas so the dragon can choose where to go. For babies, temps of 100-110 is optimal, as a dragon gets older it may start to prefer temps a bit lower. At a year old you can go 95- 105 though most people including me don't recommend going under 100.
I'm sure in the wild, temps can get over 120 but they also have the whole outdoors to choose a cooler place from if over heated. In a cage, its safer not to push temp to the extreme
