Tank is too hot.

]With the Warmer weather here in Chicago my jedis cage is too hot. The basking spot is 116 the hot side 104 and the cool side 84. I’m using a 30 inch zoo med t5 10.0 and. 75 watt basking bulb. The humidity is 40 on the hit and 48 on the cool. Usually humidity is around 34 percent hot and 38 cool. He/she is hiding behind her tree it’s so hot.
What can I do to cool it down. Can I put a small fan on the screen facing in on low

I have a 75W bulb on a dimmer cord so I can control the temperature better. You could also move the basking bulb higher or go with a 60W and see how that goes. Personally, I feel the dimmer cord is the best way to go. It has made adjusting temps a breeze compared to fiddling with bulb height. Moving the viv to a cooler part of the house might also help. The fan might be irritating if it's too strong/close, but a ceiling fan on low or maybe a small electronics fan like you find on laptops might also work.

I ran an got a 50 watt tomm I will go get a dimmer I like the idea. I’ll give it 45 mins and run temps again

If it's going to be a hot day and the room where the viv is located is likely to get hotter than 30 degC , it's perfectly OK to unplug / switch off the basking globe and just run the UV.
