Taking BD's outside?

Hey I'm getting my BD on the 28th dec 2010, i heard you can take them outside.
oviously when its warm enought outside. i live in the UK so its hardly ever hot enought to take it out.
if i was to take it out what would i have to make sure of before. any tip + do's and don'ts

If i had to guess I think she meant Leash..lol Some people also get baby play pins and put them in there just put something over the top..

No i meant lead, im am not from the US so there for do not call it a leash lol,

Lol well i have heard both words for it used in the uk but yh i live in birmingham uk so i would naturally call it a lead bt suppose it dnt really matter. Well my BD is only 4mnths old so i dnt want to take him out just yet bt when his bigger an better tamed i will buy him a lead an walk him in the sun. Thank you
