Tail Rot????

So Chester has been really extremely stressed out lately. I do think he's about to shed because his color has been really dull and getting duller. Last time he shed, his "pre-shed" lasted about two weeks before he just kinda explodes into a body shed. But I was looking at his tail today and it looks duller towards the tip compared to the rest of his tail. He had had a nipped tail since he was little from other dragons when he was being shipped to the shop. Anyways, I'm not sure if it's normal from the shed or if it's the beginning of tail rot. Please let me know what you think! Thank you!

It just looks like his tail is off to a head start. It's not uncommon for them to shed in patches, especially as they get older. Looks OK to me.
