Hi all;
I picked up my baby on Friday from her former home. She is about a year and a half old and appeared to be healthy and well taken care of. SO sweet. However, I feel as though maybe she wasn't taken care of the way they said they took care of her for various reasons.
I noticed that her tail had a gradient to a darker color (similar to what is on her back) however today and yesterday while handling I realized that the very tip of her tail is quite stiff and constantly sticks up very slightly.. hopefully my photos do it justice!
Do you guys think this could be tail rot? or do you think she is just cold or something? I had to buy a ceramic heat emitter today to bring the temperature to where it should be and her former home did not have one... I dunno. See the attached photos lol.
If it is suspected tail rot, I would like to monitor the darkness for one-two weeks and try using betadine and neosporin and watch for improvement, and if no change occurs or if it gets worse I will bring her to the vet.
Thanks in advance!!
