Syrup smell?

Why does Cooper smell like syrup all the sudden? His tank is clean and he's is too. Not to strong but where you can smell it enough to notice it.

IDK, but my daughter swears our guy smells like pancakes!

Syrup comes from trees. I find Devlyn will rub on her cork bark until she smells like cork bark. Might be a hide from predators things to mask scent. See if anything in the enclosure has that same syrup like smell and Cooper might be using it to mask scent. Just my idea I don't know if that's anything studied with wild beardies
