Superworms?

I was at a local pet shop today looking for treats for my 6 month old beardie, Reptar. He has always been a good eater with crickets, meal worms, an ocassional waxworm, and salad. I decided to try a new type of worm to add more variety.. Superworms. After explaining the situation to the person at the pet store, they refused to sell me any because of his age. He said that if young beardies don't kill the superworms before they're swallowed, the superworms can eat right through the stomach. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Is it common? Any other bug suggestions? I've already order a colony of dubai's.

You should not feed superworms to Beardies until they are about 16" long. And you should never feed them mealworms, to much chitin and no meat, runs a high risk of impaction.

From what I've read, the Beardie's stomach acid can/will ensure the death of supers fairly easy and then there's the chewing that goes along with that. Not too mention I experimented on one myself...sort of squished a decent size super similar to how one would look after being chewed up and swallowed. Needless to say, for the very short time it was visibly still alive I highly doubt it would've been capable of anything other than thinking to itself that it was a really crappy day!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
