Superworms

How long do superworms usually last for? Do they die as fast as crickets can and do.

Deja is eating more superworms then crickets right now. I looked online and I can find 500 superworms. Deja usually eats 50 superworms in 3 days. Are superworms easy to care for? Any good/bad things about superworms.

Superworms are easy to care for and I believe it takes them 4 months to reach adult stage and a few months more after that. All you have to do is give them something like lettuce or potatoes every 2-3 days so they don't cannibalize eachother. Also make sure you bearded dragon is 16" or bigger because anything under that will become impacted easily.

Other than that I LOVE SUPERS!!

Thanks for the reply. I measured Deja 2 months ago and he was 15 inches. But he has the tip of his tail off. I will measure him tommorow.

My beardie loves supers!! now as much as silks and horn worms though. I have heard that they are high in fat and that adult beardies should only have 30 a week. Now since hes only 15 inches or so I would think more than 30 would be okay. i just ordered 250 from mulberryfarms.com and my beardie is 18.5 inches and still growing. He can eat so many of those things. i have heard people use them as staples, is this true(with a varied diet of course)? Certainly would be a cheap and tasty staple, I HATE crickets.

Keep them at room temp give them some carrots for moisture and change out the bedding when they go threw it and you’ll have those guys living for ever it seems like. Other then my dubia I think super's are #2 on my feeder list.

I have read that my beardie needs to be a min of 15" for superworms. However, I see that the Mulburry Farm now has Small ones (3/4-1"). Would that size be ok for my beardie who is 12" long?
