Sunken eyes???

hi! Im a new beardie owned, I've had Gandalf for 4 days and he is approximately 6 weeks old. He's been doing pretty good eating, although he's not eating as much as I've read he's supposed to (only 5-7 crickets per feeding, and maybe one tony piece of collard greens if even that) I am mainly concerned about his hydration... i haven't physically seen him drink any water and have tried everything from dripping water on his nose, water soak, misting, putting droplets on his decor, and so on. I'm starting to panic a bit, and I just want to ask if his eyes are sunken in? I tried looking online but couldn't find any sufficient reference pictures. I do want to add that he does have a urate in his poop, but it is a bit on the chalky side in my opinion. Thank you!

He will go thru relocation stress so his eating may be a little off-- from the pic you posted he doesn't look dehydrated- you may need to lure him to the salad bowl w/ some small superworms - BSFL- butterworms -- you will need a glass bowl or ceramic that insects and worms can't get out of- wash/rinse your greens before serving- add your worms in front of him so he can see you do this-- 1-3 small supers and as many as you want of the BSFL-- do not dust them -- let him eat from the bowl for like an hour or so and then add your staple feeder-- you can take a little salad out but leave some in so he gets salad too - dubias work the best for this-
Here are some websites for insects/ worms--
http://www.reptilianarts.com good silk worms and they have dubias
http://www.reptilesplus.com they have small superworms and dubias as well and BSFL also known as nutri grubs calci worms-- and Phoenix worms-
http://www.symtonbsf.com order large do not dust
http://www.mulberryfarms.com
http://www.coastilsilkworms.com east coast is out but the west coast had them if you order in bulk like 50 or so make sure you order food you will need to feed them everyday and clean the poop out everyday as well they are another good staple feeder---
Feeding the staple feeders like roaches carrots and dubia food every nite they will be good and gutloaded for morning feeding+ this helps also w/ hydration of your dragon-----

He looks OK to me. His poop is the main indicator of hydration. If he isn't drinking on his own be sure to offer his bugs lots of fresh veges so they pass on hydration when he eats them. You can offer water by dripping some on his nose to see if he licks it up. As long as he is active and alert and pooping regularly he is probably OK.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
