Suggestions please!!

Mods,if this needs to be moved,please do so,I only posted here because this forum gets a lot of hits.

I am very confused by Alf right now.
She started out trying to brumate,sleeping part or most of the day depending on what she wanted,she would eat later,sometimes not at all or sometimes like a little pig. I am going in circles wandering what to do.
Now she is bouncing off the walls just like she has spring fever,starting from the time she gets up until around 5 in the afternoon,she will run the length of her cage,stop a little,bounce like she is trying to get out of her cage,when we get her out,she runs every where(on her leash of course),yet still loves to cuddle at bedtime. My main concern is her not eating. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Please offer any help you can(yes I know I am a worry wart.)

Sara, have you had a fecal done on her? Jada isn't eating either nor is she losing but I checked her fecal to make sure because the last time Jada wouldn't eat was when she got pinworms.

Alf is 16 months old no digging but she runs her tak and bags her nose on the glass and jumps.She was awake and had her head up by 7:00 this morning. No I haven't had a fecal done yet.

Oh, I never thought about that. If Alf sees your little one she may be getting hormonal. Although, Jada is active and not eating. She goes and basks for a while and goes to her bed and chills for a while. You should get a fecal done on her to make sure she is parasite free just in case she caught something from the crickets she eats.

My Alf hasn't eaten crickets in months,I switched her to supers several months ago and she won't eat crickets now. She started not to eat and I started giving her supers as her main protein and she just snerls her nose at crickets now (if you know what i mean,she just looks at them like "MOm what are you trying to feed me,you know I don't like these things.) I will contact our vet and see if he will do a fecal for me,he doesn't see exotics and the closest vet that does is about 20 miles away,but if he won't do a fecal I'll call the other vet to see how much they will charge.either way I'll get one done.

I know what you mean about the mileage. My vet is about that distance but depending on the time of day I go, it sometimes takes me 45 minutes to get there. Jada would never eat crickets for me. Matter of fact, she ran from them like she was scared. Let me know how it goes. It could be winter slow down also. How much does Elf weigh now?

Alf weighs 535 grams but was 550 grams. She has lost 15 grams. I am gonna call the local vet to see if he will do a fecal.

Alf has lost 25 grams,if she doesn't start eating by the weekend,taking her to the vet next week.I wouold go ahead and take her but they want $70 to see her. I am giving her turkey and chicken baby food and applesauce(unsweetened). Wish there wa something else I could do for her until then.Any suggestions?

Wow, that is bit of a weight loss. How long did it take her to lose it? I would make her the slurry with feeders and greens. Jada absolutely loves greens pudding. I either make pudding or juice for all of mine for their breakfast. It keeps all 3 hydrated. I only add feeders if I need to but usually only Semi's as he was on a feeder strike and super hyper so to keep him from losing more weight I added protein. I use a mini blender called the Magic Bullet but a small food processor would also work. Is Alf eating any salads?

Right now all Alf is eating is what baby food I can get her to eat. She did eat 2 wax worms yesterday,but opther than that I am force feeding baby food as suggested to me in an email from someone I trust.I am taking her to the vet if she doesn't start eating.She has me worried.

whats your temps ? I know when MJ slowed down on eating.. it was because I was taking her out her viv too much and she wanst getting enough heat. Then one day .. it was very hard to do.. but I left her in ALL DAY and boy the next day she ate like a pig !!
