Suggestion for Turkistan Red Runner Roach Source?

I was surprised with how much a baby dragon eats. So I thought I will set up a cricket colony or roach colony. For a baby dragon, feeder insects should be soft, so I will not be raising Dubia roaches. Lobster roaches are soft, but they might climb walls of containers and might occasionally fly so that is not an option. Crickets are great except they smell. Then I found Turkistan Red Runner Roaches. They are soft, non-climber, does not smell like crickets, does not produce defensive smell. I'm willing to try this!

I'm thinking of getting a starter colony of Turkistan Red Runner Roaches. I see many Dubia roaches but not seen many choice of Trukistan Red Runner much. Do you have any suggestion or any experience getting Trukistan roaches?

What I'm thinking is

1. AaronPauling.com --- they have 100 for $20 shipped.

2. RoachCrossing.com --- much cheaper 100 for $5 without shipping cost

Have anyone dealt with them?

Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I contacted the Roachcrossing.com. He responded to me quickly and was really knowledgeable. Unfortunately, he told me that it will take a week to send out. I need to get them quickly as my cricket stock is getting low. So I will go with the Aaron.

Agreed, just don't let the females out

I buy mine locally... Or I should say bought, I started with ~500 a year ago and fed off them while they multiplied and now I have a ton! This is even after a good die off...

I do keep mine heated at around ~85 F they seem to breed much better that way

Being in NY, I certainly need heating equipment. Do you use undertank heating pad or heat bulb or ceramic emitter?

Currently I just use a 100w night-time bulb with an old dome from my beardies tank.

That seemed to work better than a heat wire around the sides and bottom.

Most of the roaches tend to settle more towards the bottom of the bin and they have been breeding quite well...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
