Forgot a few things.
A biopsy would not require a anesthesia, your vet would likely numb and area and cut out a sample of skin. Would only take 5 mins to do, but the pathology labs and a 5 min "minor surgical procedure" would be kind of expensive.
I'll have to look over you posts to see if I can see the bumps better. I have had a few uromastyx that had something similar, it turned out to be fungal.
If you ask your vet if they can do a skin scraping they may only charge you for the labs, it only takes a second to scrape some skin. Totally painless....

Hey, just a quick update.
The bumps went pretty quickly; a couple of days or so. The discolouration is still pretty much the same. Bugs coming up for a partial shed on the front half of his body, hoping the discolouration there will slough off. Thankfully he's taking everything in his stride, even the injections and despite turning up his nose at the soy yogurt, his appetite and poos are still good!
Got just over a week before I take him back to the vet. Even though no change in weird coloured spots think I'll ask for a scrape when I go back to be on safe side. (When I think of scrape I imagine the vet tearing off scales with a scalpel!)
Thanks,
Lucy and Lovebug.

No, a scraping shouldn't take any skin off. I hope your vet can do it. I hoping my human medical knowledge can be applied to reptile care. Should be the same in this situation.

Bugs behaviour is still great but he still has these blotches. I am going to try antifungals. With the Betadine bath do I rinse it off afterwards?

I haven't been following the list for awhile. Too busy taking care of Heloderma eggs.
How did things turn out? Did you get a skin scraping done?
I wouldn't rinse off the betadine. If its mixed to look like a weak tea it shouldnt need rinsing.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
