What do you personally recommend ? I’m not sure quite what I’d use to “hang” it in the tank so to speak. Mesh on top is fine like a screw door. I’ll include a pic to help out ) one second

We took the light out and kinda just set it on top to look at placement. I am confused on where our basking light will go.

Ok so it's going to need to go into the tank--- you can hang in the front of tank or back it doesn't matter but what does is your going to need a piece of basking decor directly underneath approx 12-15 inches-- get your fixture hung first then worry about the basking decor-- did I post things for you to use to hang w/?

so since it is a T5 It’s okay to put inside the tank, rather than having a T8?

Yes the only difference is distances- T 8 is 6-8 T 5 12-15 inches-- did I post stuff to use to hang-

I don’t believe so! I’m just at a rock In a hard place because I want to get the light mounted before she wakes up tomorrow. I don’t quite have chain handy on me ?

So here’s a photo of how big the hood is. I think it’s too big to put inside. I’m freaking out I feel like I am not doing a single thing right ?

Ok I went back thru the post I will get some things posted tomorrow morning to help w/ hanging in the tank--- the best stuff is the stuff I am using in my tank--- you can get it from home Depot - I will post the link in the morning so you can go get it if you have a home Depot where you live

No your fine stop stressing- the back of tank is fine-- as long as he can get away from the rays of the UVB he will be fine-- your uvb and basking light don't need to be right next to each other he will go to the light he needs mine do

Okay, husband is freakin out because he’s concerned with how the heat light will be crooked on the tank and make us un able to get inside without moving the heat lamp off of the tank since it’s a slide-open top

You can cut the screen make a place for the UVB-- or take part of the screen off--
