I have a question regarding the tank substrate. I currently have paper towels and its great but soon I will be getting a 75 gallon tank. I am looking into replacing it with sand but I hear so many different sides to this and I just don't know what to do. I don't feed her in the tank so she will not run the risk of swallowing any particles and she loves to dig... Any advice on your personal experience?

I find sand difficult to keep sanitary. Especially if she poops in the tank. If you want that looser substrate I'd look into bioactive substrate. Otherwise I'd go with something solid that is easier to keep clean and maintain. I use ceramic tiles and they work well. If they get dirty I just swap in clean ones and clean/bake the dirty ones.
