Wondering if I can use the same substrate from the nesting bin for incubating the eggs

Eh preferably not. Best to incubate them in hatch-rite or vermiculite and it's easiest to have them laid in damp sand. I use a tupperware bin so my females can dig about 8-10inch caverns to lay in. I then carefully dig them out.
