Stupid UVB went out, advice NEEDED!!

HI all,
I have a 30 inch zoo med light fixture with a 24" 10.0 Zoo Med UVB bulb to go with it that I bought on petmountain.com (from recommendations on here).

2 days ago, I turned the light fixture off to take my boy Elway out for a bath while I clean up his tank, low and behold, when I put him back in and turned the light on, it didn't come back on!

Fortunately petmountain has a good return policy and had UPS come by for a pickup for a return. Right now though, all I have on is his basking lamp, I don't have another UVB source. Petmountain is located in San Diego, I am in the L.A. area, so I get the shipments within 1 day, however, I'm worried about my boy being without UVB. How long can I go without UVB, any ideas??

Also, I recommend not buying things like electrical products from online sights, because if they don't work or if you have problems with them, it's a headache to send back and what not. Ya you might pay more at a local store, but it's worth the hassle. As well, you get the product cheaper online, yet if you have to send it back you have to pay for a box which was 6 bucks at UPS, so how much did I actually save. Just my rant for the day, I'm pissed he don't have his light, I just hope I can go a day or two without it.

I read something online that said 20 minutes of natural sunlight is the equivalent to 12 hours from a UVB bulb.

I dont think it will be too much of a prob a day or two...if you have a nice windowsill near your bed that the sun hits..you could lay down a towl and put your bd there and lay on your bed and watch tv..they will lay there and bask..just make sure they arent gonna run anywhere..if she/he starts licking..chances are you wanna pick her up lol..thats what i did today..i was cleaning my room and my window gets a nice bit of sun..so i let her hang out for an hour or so.

absolutely! that would be great. Just be sure you have a sceen in the window because you will need to open it.....Uvb doesn't work through plastic or glass.
