Im not sure why my bearded dragon has stress marks still, Im not totally sure of his age, but he eats fine, goes the bathroom fine, basks, etc.
If he had parasites, wouldn't his growth be stunted, and he wouldn't gain any weight?
some random info:
He is in a 40 gallon breeder tank
Slate tile
His basking spot is around 105-108
his cool side is at 80
he has the proper uvb lighting (ZooMed Reptisun 10.0)
He eats collard greens and crickets (alot of crickets lol)
dusted with either rep-cal calcium, calcium with D3, or herpavite
the crickets are gutloaded blah blah
He poops every morning before he eats of course, usually in a bath,
He has shed twice in the month I had him, his tail twice, and the rest of his body once
I read that could be because of mites? But I think its because he has ATLEAST doubled his size in the month I got him. So, the more he grows, the more he sheds, right?
Those two photos are from the first day I got him,
and this is him now
and this is what his stress marks are like
sometimes they are a little darker, but they are never as dark as when I first got him for the 'relocation stress', some times his bearded will be a bit darker than that, and the lines on his belly are more defined, and sometimes he wont have them at all
Could it be that he isn't on an exact light schedule? This timers and I just do NOT work out, hahaha. even the ditigal ones.
The varying time inbetween each day's lights on and off time is no more than an hour, though. Nothing drastic.
Im just worried!
