Storing stool sample?

What is the best method to store a stool sample? is fridge cold going to kill to coccidia culture or worms or parasites? room temp ok?

I've gotta vet appt tuesday at 7:30 pm glenn pooped today (sunday at 3pm) only goes like once a weeks so this is my chance

refrigerate it and take it with you and ask the vet. I had to do the same thing only mine was a 'just in case' scenario. My vet said it was o.k. as long as it's refrigerated with in a few minutes.

I also learned that the stool must be kept moist. I would wet some paper towel and wrap it in that.
