We have 5 beardies, 4 usually poop in their
bath. The fifth, our youngest, still has 1/2 newspaper as substrate in his tank and that's what he poops on, he looks so funny pushing his butt off his basking rock to hover over the newspaper before pooping. Then he runs frantically to his hide to get away from it. The running around is the clue that he's gone, if one of us isn't fast enough, he'll paint his viv. Quite ukky to pick up, but what can you do. He has
bath/water daily like the other beardies, but will hold his poop until he's back under his basking light. The other four will hold until their
bath, my husband is retired, so he's home to pick up messes as they happen. I'm the
bath lady, give them all baths before I go to work at noon. So it works ok for us. I have no other suggestions, except trade the log for a rock, at least that would be easier to clean.
