Hey Guys!
I just recently rescued an adult beardie (between 2 and 3?) from someone who was not taking proper care of him. They had said he had barely been eating for several weeks (my guess was really not at all), and upon looking at the temperature in his tank when picking him up it was sitting mid-high 70's F, and that was the basking area
He's now under a proper Reptisun 10 UVB and a 90ish plus F basking area (in a 120 gallon), and within a few hours he's already woken way up and shown improvement. He doesn't appear super underweight and he's not really bony either (miraculously), however he does seem to have a slight wobble/shake when walking around. I'm assuming from not really eating he's become slightly deficient and could be having early MBD signs. My question to you guys is what is the best jump start on working quickly to get that trembling turned around? It's not too severe yet and he's pretty quickly romping around the tank, but I obviously want to stop it in its tracks before it gets any worse. If necessary he can be taken to get some injected, however I figure because his weight is decent and he's still getting around pretty okay we might be able to get some good corrections going at home first.
Side Note- I also wasn't sure what food, if any, would possibly be too much from him coming right around from basically not eating or having any activity? I want to take it slow with him so I don't overwhelm him or cause any further health issues by starting too heavy on a recovery diet, if that makes sense.
