Starting a dubia colony in a shed

Okay... I've gotten to the point where my mom will let me start a dubia colony, as long as I keep it in the shed and not in the house. The shed isn't insulated or anything, but I live in Texas so it'll stay hot during the summer, and I can make it hot in the winter. Does anyone have any tips on starting a colony like this in a place where I can't completely regulate the heat? The shed is pretty sturdy and it looks like a small house, it just doesn't have insulation or anything.

I live in Florida with near same temps as Texas and run a roach colony (Discoid's) in my shed. In the summer months I don't have to supply heat....it get about 80-85 at night and around 95 in the day. In the winter however I use a heater to maintain it about the same. I use a wooden insulated shed so it stays pretty dry in there...about 30% humidity. If your using a tin/metal shed you need to watch your humidity and for condensation. Only problem I ever had raising in a shed was other small bugs tend to make there way in your colonies. But with a good screened top and keeping things clean it now works fine.
