Started a dubia colony, and at least the blood is strong...

I have an 18 gallon tote that I keep my starter colony of roughly 700+ dubia to the left and lower to my beardie terrarium. Well I fed them some breakfast about thirty minutes ago, and didn't think much of putting the lid back on the dubia enclosure.

I just witnessed an adult male 'fly' literally five feet in the air, out of the colony and into the terrarium. I then spent about three minutes trying to catch said male as he ran laps around the terrarium.

I'm a little surprised, but at least I know his babies will be good babies!

Heh, yeah Definitely sure they are, but still that was crazy. He didn't really get too far (really he only moved about two feet to the right from start to finish), but man he got air time.

I am betting you have a bunch of males and this one was venturing off to find new mates...
