So I've heard and read on here various times that a beardie will very rarely turn down butternut squash, and is a good staple not to mention a great treat for them. . How do you go about preparing it for them? (I'm 28 and have cooked maybe 10 days in my life, so bear with me  ) My boyfriend's beardie has only ever been fed crix and blueberries, that I'm aware. He was fed babyfood prunes when he had trouble digesting food, and LOVED it. I have a feeling he likes fruit but I'm afraid to feed him strawberries because of the seeds, he's had impaction troubles in the past. He will not touch greens (trust me, we've tried) and I kind of want to give him something tasty and healthy that he will enjoy.
Do I buy the stuff whole from the store in the veggie section, then bring it home and chop it up into little pieces? raw or cooked? Or should I start with babyfood squash and drip a little on his nose for him to try?
