Hey all, new to the forum here and I just had a quick question to ask. My brother and I would like to get two baby bearded dragons for our 55 gallon setup, with intentions of either moving them to a larger tank within a year or eventually splitting them up when we no longer live in the same house. Is It a bad idea to keep bearded dragons together for a few months to a year and then split them up? Will it cause health and eating problems?

It definitely depends on the beardies. I have housed them together up to 6 months, and then I have females that still live together. My females are very docile and I have no issues with the at all. NEVER keep 2 males together over 6 months. Your best bet if getting 2, and wanting to keep them together for awhile is to get 2 females.

Thanks guys, I was planning on doing two females anyway, but it looks like that's a bad idea too. Appreciate the insight.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
