So... this may turn out to be a long story... I just gave my five year-old a bath for the first time in his life... he had an odd reaction so I'd like to hear what you guys think.

I drew the bath, warm water high enough to cover his vent, a little deeper near the drain since the bath tub is sloped. I set Spike down into the shallow end and waited to see his reaction. He just kind of stood there for a while, looking around... seemed a bit confused. He licked at the water once, then went on an adventure to the deep end (water at the deep end only came up to his armpits, not too deep, don't worry.) He was fine for a while, then he started trying to climb out, so I decided I would cut the experience short since it was his first time. I picked him up out of the bath and wrapped him in a t-shirt to dry him off a little, he climbed right up my chest, snuggled his face against my neck and wouldn't move!! Then he started trying to climb up my face!!! Literally, right up the front of my face until we were eye to eye! I plucked the little bugger of my mug since it wasn't too comfortable for me... then he climbed around to the back of my neck under my hair (he seems to like to do that a lot, not sure why.) I got nervous about him falling so I stuck my arm out to the side in an effort to coax him down to where I could grab him safely. He climbed down, got to about my elbow, I went to go pick him up with my other hand and he JUMPED! He just leaped off my arm, went flying through the air and landed PLOP on his belly on the floor! Don't worry, he didn't fall far as I was crouched down on the ground due to my worry of him falling off my shoulders. Anyways, I stuck him back in his tank to calm down and now here I am typing out the story.

What a weirdo!! Why did he react this way when I took him out of the tub??

Taking a bath for the first time at 5 yrs old had to be just a bit shocking for your beardie, I'm sure. Give him some time and with more baths he should start to get used to it. My beardie is 5 yrs old also and with anything new it just takes a bit of adjusting to for them. Do keep giving him baths and with time I wouldn't be surprised if the little bugger doesn't want to get out of the water. :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
