Sleeping

Morning,

Just a quick question, what are beardies meant to be like when they have just woken up or are in the process of being woken up?
When waking buddy this morning he seemed at first glance to be very motionless and i couldnt see breathing, but i moved his leaf and he plonked down and then showed signs of stirring.

The temperature in the viv last night was 68F, and he was at the cool end of the viv. Is this normal?

Well, like people, they're all different, but in general it takes a few minutes for them to warm up and face the day because they sleep so deeply. It's kind of like they go into mini-hibernation.
Where they sleep is entirely dragon dependent and tends to have something to do with your set-up as well. If she feels I have to many lights going, Ms Priss goes under her bamboo or Habbi Hut in the center of the cage, otherwise she curls up in one of the back corners. Gibby sleeps under his Habbi Hut no matter what, and Dora always sleeps in the corner on her warm side between the wall and her basking steps. Of course, since all my lights go off at night, there isn't really a hot or cold side when they settle down.
