So we have a bearded dragon who I'm guessing is around 4-5 months...he is 9.75 inches and 52 grams....I put him to bed (he loves to be covered in a soft blanket) and no matter how long I leave him there he won't get up till I get him out. I tuck him in around 9-10pm and turn lights out then. Most mornings I wake him up around 9-10am but a few mornings it has been considerably later (today it was 12pm) and he was still there snoozing away. He is active and alert while he is awake and eats well. Poops daily, sometimes twice a day. Is this normal? No heat at night first night I turned out the heat for darkness I took temps with the temp gun multiple times through the night and his temp never dropped below 68f. I did buy a mini heating pad to put next to him incase he gets cold that stays around 85-90 but he has never moved out of his blanket.
Lights are reptisun 10 in a 36" hood for uvb zoomed for heat ( not sure about watts came with the setup we bought new) and temps are around 110f on basking log 70ish on cool side and averages around 80 in center of tank. Tank is a 40g breeder tank

Not sure if it is normal but my bearded does this too. If his head is covered he will not wake up until it is uncovered. Once I came back from work having not taken his blanket and he was still asleep!
I thought it could be something as simple being programmed not to wake until there is light but don't they dig down under something in the wild at night?
Anyway he hasn't suffered from it, I just leave his blanket in the corner for him to snuggle in rather then wrap him up
