OK swap out a few things and make it more familiar paper towels on teh bottom the criskets in again the tiles in place the rocks and the small trees....ok. They needed the substrate to get the lean to make the hide so I improvise....

And so does my Howlin' Rex.

I lock the trees into a standing mode with the screen of the top of the tank gently but firmly securing them. This becomes important for what happens next. i go downstairs hang out watch some TV then get on my comp help out a few people with tech stuff and go to lights out for all the kids in the house. Red lights on Tiantha and up to red light the snakes area and take one for Rex...

And where is Rex. Rex is not to be found in his new house. mind you he's ONLY just got here today. "No..." so i go looking and this is where I found Rex...

And yes that is the orientation of the photos vertical...and this morning where is Rex...

Still as above.

I start to wonder if he has gotten himself stuck. I switch the lights and down comes Rex out on the floor of the Vivarium hunting...crickets again.

Beardiers sleep in some funny positions!

Did you say you use red lights at night? No light would be better. Or a UTH or CHE if you need the temps up (if you house get's below 65 at night).

And do you let crickets roam free in his cage? That is not good if so!

I use red lights to add the heat required to get the cage up to snuff. I have them on at night for beardies and the snakes. They are in the same room. Door closed. I dont have heat emitters and I haev an old house. 108 years...

He was in the greenery before anything got changed and lastly I was trying to get him to eat the REST of his crickets before bed.

He's hiding in the plant! That so doesn't look comfy to me. Beardies are so silly. It's hard to see... is he like jammed in the corner? LOL He looks pretty pleased with himself.

He was generally pleased. I moved said plant today and released i from the fixed standing position. Last night up he went again into the leaves which bent over his rock and there he lay again for the evening. By George I think he likes it.

i live in an old house too!! so many cracks between doors and windows! thers even some random holes drilled into the wood floors. so hard to keep Skyler warm

I can sympathize Elora. When I first moved in we had a slate tiled roof...now its completely redone. The replaced 15 beams up there. There were places the tiles had NO WOOD beneath. I find it is now MUCH easier to keep the place warm.
