Sleeping habbit

My bearded dragon turns black about an hour before bed each night. I know that they will do this when they wake up, but I was wondering if it's for the same reason? Or is he annoyed his lights are still on and he's like let me sleep already? Thanks!

His beard is turning black or whole body? Can you get a pic of him and post when he does this please

Maybe black is the wrong way to describe it, just darker. It is mainly his beard but his body gets darker than normal. The photos don't do great at showing and he is in the middle of shedding right now.

He looks normal color to me- he could be absorbing heat before going to sleep-- but the pics look normal.to me---

I’m a little overprotective first time beardie mom, he’s so sweet and I monitor him closely lol
