Sorry to hear about Ozzy -

What kind of UVB bulb are you using?
What are his basking temps, cool side temps?
Is he pooing regularly?

If these questions don't help identify the issue, you'll need to provide more information, but lets start with these. :study:

Hi sorry for late reply, the temps are 95(bask) to 83 (cool end). I am using a 18-30 watt 10uvb light (from ebay not really a make I recognise???). His poo seems normal about once a day. Cheers Rob.

That could be your problem. Generic brands of UVB can be just as he=armful as the known offenders. Symptoms of a bad UVB include lethargy and loss of appitite. I would change the bulb to a repti-SUN, and switch off that one straight away. He can go without UVB for up to two weeks until you can get it replaced. No UVB is better than bad UVB.

Hope this helps

I switched from having multiple lamps to a Zilla hood and I've seen great improvement in my Jaeger, he's back to his energetic self and can out eat an alligator. Thanks to the tips here I know now not to use the crappy uvb lights that came with the tank.

I've heard of a lot of people who have trouble with the repti glo 10.0. Do a search through the website if you'd like. I wish someone would start a post so the info could be compiled. Are you in the US? http://www.petmountain.com has the best price I've found on the repti sun 10.0.

Since you're in the UK you might want to look for the Arcadia 12% bulb. I've heard it tested better than the reptisun and is cheaper for you all.

Hi, bought an Arcadia tube (3ft 12%) for £26 from Leeks. fitted it about a week ago and Ozzy has shown a vast improvement alread. He is awake for most of the day now and is more active (though still seems a bit lethargic to me, he may just be lazey?) Anyway not worried about him now, he eats loads of greens, worms and crickets. We have him out a couple of hours a day so hopefully he'l pick up a bit more. Thanks Rob.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
