Skittish Beardie

I purchased an adult female dragon from someone who couldn't take care of her anymore, and the more time I spend with her the more I think that her pervious owner didn't take proper care of her.

She was only being given Bearded Dragon pellets as food, not fresh veggies, and I don't think he was handling her properly, if at all. She is very skittish when I try to pick her up, and I am worried that she may try to nip at me.

Does anyone have any suggestions in getting her to trust me and accept me holding her and petting her? I've been wearing gloves when I hold her, because I don't want to get bitten, and I would like for us to move past that so that I can hold her without fear.

although she was abused some dragons just have bad attitudes i have one female you would swear i "abuse" because of how she acts when i try to pick her up and hisses and flails when i pick her up but usually it does go away in some cases you might just have a fiesty dragon i only have one that acts this way and shes healthy as can be
but try putting her on your lap and keeping her there even if she does bite you it wont really do much i have gotten bit plenty of times being that i hand feed almost all of my dragons sometimes there aim is a little reckless

I've also looked around on the forum, and read about people doing the T-shirt method, and I've heard that it has a pretty sucessful turnout. So I've tried it, and I'm hoping that it does a world of good for me and Freya.

Other then being alittle bit skittish about me holding her she's adjusted well to her new 75 gallon tank and seems happy with her new diet regime.

Just dont leave the shirt in her cage but scent interaction does work once she puts weight on shell get better its a process but dont worry about biting they dont normally draw blood
