Skin doesnt look good, not eating, always sleeping...?

Lately Ammo's skin has been looking kind of weird. His tail looks like its going to shed, but its been like that for about 5 days. he has hardly eaten in the past few days, and he is always sleeping. It looks like he is losing weight but im not sure. Does this sound like anything to you guys?

how old is he?

sounds like shedding or possibly brumation to me

I think roughly around 5-6 months. He has shed about 3 times since i got him around 2-3 months ago. Usually lasts a week till his whole body is shed, but he never loses his apettite like this, and was never this tired.

well when they get older they take longer to shed so i am guessing it is just more irritating for him

it could also be due to the waether

even though he might not br brumating he might just be slowing down

winter is here so it is possible that he is brumating. They will eat less and sleep a LOT more when they do that. My oldest Beardie has brumated since her first winter, but my younger one didn't brumate at all during his first winter, but has since.

it may also be parasites

even if you think it may be brumation (and he's a bit young yet) it is worth getting a fecal done to check he's healthy

He still hasnt eaten, or pooped. His head is shedding as we speak piece by piece. Ill have to see if my vet does reptiles too so i can get a fecal. Anyone know how much they usualy charge for that?

even if he does not do reptiles he still should be able to test for parasites and call a reptile cet for medication etc

it depends on charge

my vet only charges $10 but i have heard of them charging up to $50

i think it just depends on you individual vet you will have to call to get a fee
