simple question re. feeding worms

Basic setup done, beardie on his way. We've read through all the basic care articles etc. Lots of great information here!!!

I have a stupid question about the how's of feeding worms -- everywhere it says to put them in a bowl. Any particular reason to not spread them around the cage?

The biggest reason is convenience. Feeders have the habit of crawling away and hiding, if you just scatter them and go you may find they aren't getting eaten. If you are actively/engaged in feeding scattering them would be a good way of encouraging hunting and providing enrichment.
