Hey guys so I have always been interested in silkbacks. I know some people like rub them with utter cream daily and and bathe them daily. Do I really need to do all that? Seems kinda extreme.

We didn't do any of that, housed them the same as the other babies. The only difference I can tell is that they dehydrate easier than normal dragons since their skin isn't as thick, the scales that are missing aren't there to protect them. When they hatch, leave them in the egg container or put them in another one with moist paper towels for the first 3 or 4 days, this way they don't dry out right away. When you setup their bin, use lower wattage bulbs and make sure their basking spot isn't too hot. You can also give daily baths or put a fresh bowl of water in with them daily. I just made sure they were hydrated and offered water at least 3 times per day.

Ok I wouldnt be breeding them for a couple more years but thanks. Some people have told me that they cant be bred. Is this true? And is the care the same for adults. My next dragon will come from you guys. :D I have order a lot of supplies from you.

You can't or shouldn't breed female silkies. It's dangerous because they don't have scales to protect them from a bite from the male.

You dont have to breed a silkie to get a silkie.
I have bred my male silkie with no problems, I wont even try a female, due to the damage I believe will result from the breeding.
I soak mine about 2 to 3 times a week, and I use lotion 2 to 3 times a week to aid with shedding.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
