I just received two containers of 50 silk worms and I'm not sure what the proper protocol is for storing/feeding/ect. Do I keep them in the containers? Clean them out? Keep them in a different container? How often do I feed them their chow? Any info would help. I've never had silk worms before and I emailed the website for some info, but haven't heard back.

I've had some success with raising silkworms I find plastic food tubs work very well (I modify the lids so allow excellent ventilation for the larger worms - bigger than baby worms - who I treat differently mostly to maintain a uniform microclimate and exclude small predatory insects (ants, spider, roaches etc).
See my thread - viewtopic.php?f=76&t=222193

This might help too http://www.peacefulsilkworms.com.au/guide (the lady who owns PeacefulSilkworms is Australia's top silkworm supplier and she's very helpful if you have questions (simply post the question on her facebook page).

I've raised worms from eggs on silkworm chow only (full life cycle) , on chow and fresh leaves, on leaves only (full live cycle) and am currently experimenting with from eggs on blanched - frozen then thawed leaves.

Crucial to silkworm farming success that you maintain excellent hygene in the work farm (box, tub) and don't crowd them.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
