She still remains nameless! I really want to make certain of her personality before I put a name to her, but it's proving quite difficult!
For instance:
Today, I brought her out. She sat on my hand for a while and then decided to leave. I kept moving my hand so that she had to stay on it, but then I needed to type something so I put her on my chest and off she went! I think she has poor eyesight (most likely due to her genetics) because she ran right of the side of the bed without a double-take. When I tried to pick her up she freaked out really bad and squirmed and squirmed to get away from me. I took her back to where I'm sitting and put a towel over her, which she resists but finally calms down. When I take the towel off, she climbs up to the very top of my pillow and stays there for maybe 2 hours, right next to my head. When I put her back in Khan's enclosure, she pooped.

I didn't force-feed her today but she didn't eat either. I'm glad she pooped though!

Aw ... it's great that she pooped!!
It sounds like she's just really not tame at all. And I think you're right about the eyesight. Then the poor baby got scared by her fall.
Grendel likes to sit on my pillow, next to my head. I bet your baby will be snuggling with you in no time.
But name her already!!! Jeez!!! :wink:

Haha, it means Grendel's just that much more interesting. Maybe he thought he'd try Hypo out but then changed his mind?

Well, my friends who have her parents did say she's a "mega-mutt," and she's a girl with a boy's name (at least, we all think she's a girl), so who knows? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if she suddently sprouted a second head ...

Haha! I'll tell you a story.
When I first named Khan, he wasn't Khan at all. His first name was Bruce. I tried to make it work and it just didn't, I happened to pick an ill-fitting name. I don't want the same thing to happen with this one. Some of my friends still call him bruce. Lol.

We thought our first beardie was a boy so we named him Fez but then it turned out that he is really a she but the named stuck! I think you should name her Envy!

I absolutely love the name Fez. For a boy or a girl.
My (much younger) sister is good friends with a foreign exchange student at her high school. Apparently everybody calls him Fez. :lol:

I have really enjoyed this thread. One thing I do with my guy is when he is starting to act like he wants to go to sleep I put him in my shirt or jacket so he sleeps while breathing in my sent. I used to tame baby squirrles that way. When I got them in they are really high strung, but after letting them sleep in my sweatshirt they calmed down quickly. Atleast the bearded dragons dont pee on you. Although when mine is wiggling to find a comfortable spot (usually at my armpit) it is all I can do not to scream and roll on the floor. I so want a silky. I hope to learn from you and am very interested to watch her grow up.

Oooh, so cute! I'd love a silkie if I was sure that it wouldn't have too many extra issues... I'd like to breed my female one day, perhaps with another leather, and maybe get some silkies. Hot red silkies- can you imagine?
