SHE WONT EAT....anyone ???.........WHY WONT ANYONE REPLY??

Hey i posted a similar topic yesterday but today all she ate was a mealworm ......she just finished a bath and she seems normal (no poop though)....and hasnt done anything except bask on her rock in front of her lights....i do have an exotera 24 inch tube reti gglo 10.0 and she gets it 4-6 hrs a day...she hasnt had any yet today because its on my other bd......her eyes seem fine but my mom font her hiding behind her rock yesterday...
before she came to be she was one a retiglo 10 COIL ....so i dont understand why the tube would bother her.

i cant afford any more lights now but i have tunes of heat lights....but on 3 exo tera repti glo 10.0 2 coil that are put away for good and one tube...

should i go with just heat??

Okay I really hate to break it to you but the REpti Glo tube isnt that great. You really need the Repti SUN 10.0 (you can get it cheap at petmountain.com, and home depot/lowes would carry a fixture)

Other questions people will ask (and others will be on later tonight--our mods usually are on after 7pm EST from what I have seen)
How old is your dragon?
How long have you had your dragon?
What is the substrate (sand, tile, carpet,etc)
do you dust the live feeders with calcium, if so, what brand and how often?
Vitamins? Again, what brand and how often.
What are you temps--basking side, cool side and ambient temps
What do you feed your lizard , please be very specific
If crickets, are you making sure they are no bigger than the space between its eyes?
Do you bath your lizard?
how often?
Do you know how humid it is in the tank (beardies need it fairly dry)
When was the last time he/she has pooped
Has she had a fecal test done yet?

no fecal test about a year i dot know for sure i got her lat week.....knowne does fecal tests here so thats a no....her temps and set up is fne.....except the 24inch tube which is goes to have to do untill i get some money...but even then i dont think ill spend more money on lights ive given up on pet shops here and i am not ordering online atm....so reti glo 10.0 24 inch tube or repti glo coil (which made my male sick when i had it on him....she seems fine except dosnt wanna eat.....i bath her everday since i had her....she didnt pop in the tube today but did yesterday. no calcium atm but i was dutloading the crickts with somesord of calcium food but i resently ran out...i dont know what to do ive spent about 200$ on lights so far plus i paid 200 last week for the lizard and 50$ worth of food....and a 200$ dog vet bill all last week......

Am I understanding you correctly, have you turned the Reptiglo 10 flourescent tube bulb OFF for now? If not, go ahead & do that.
Yes, just go with a basking light right now until you are able to get the Reptisun 10 flourescent tube bulb. What type of basking light are you using right now? A bright white light or a colored light?
What are the temps in the tank, & what type of thermometer are you using to measure the temps with? A stick on type of thermometer, a digital probe or a temp gun?
When you had her under the Reptiglo 10 coil or flourescent tube, how close to the light was she? How long ago was she under the light?
Sometimes after being exposed to bad lights which emit low wavelength UVB, it takes awhile for them to recover. Her eyes may be irritated, she is most likely dehydrated & may not feel well. That type of radiation can make them ill so that is probably what is affecting her.
You can get some water & mix it with pedialyte & give at least 1-2 ml's to her daily with a plastic syringe or a plastic dropper. This is very important. When you can, she does need calcium, as well. Since she is not a baby anymore, she can get by with calcium 2-3 times per week, that is all she needs. I realize the vet bills can pile up, but, when you can be sure to get her a better UVB light.
You can get some chicken or turkey babyfood & mix it with squash babyfood daily, as well, & give to her through either a dropper or syringe if she just is not eating. Pretty soon, once she starts feeling better, she should start eating again on her own.

the uvb 24inch tube is on her now.....i dont know if thats the problem because when i had the coil on RED he got REAlly sick and had all the symtoms except puking just gaged a little now he is fine with ne new tube....she seems fine no eye issues but will not eat....4-6 hrs of uvb (i though less would help a little) the light is about 20 innchs away from her rock and about 15 inchs from the tank if she was right under it.....my mom is bringing salad stuff tonight because i ran out yesterday.....if you really think i should take out the light i will no prob but i dont feel its the problem....she wa son a repti glo 10.o COIL when i got her that when into storage right away.

should i take out the exo terra reti glo 10.0 TUBE

:shock: :shock: :shock: Um... I hope you're just kidding... because that's not really a good way to handle things. Just take the bulbs back and get a refund... and buy the correct bulb. Believe me, this is not worth jail time....

I'm glad that your beardy is eating. If Im reading your post right you just recently got your beardy right? Beardy's have an adjustive time to get use to the new enviroment. This is a great site to find out information before you buy diffrnet things for your beardy. Beardys are a lot of work, but once one figures things out it is much easier. There will always be questions that will come so just come here an ask. Talking about smashing or hurting someone is not the way to go about things. On here you will read many posts about petstore places giving bad information. They are just not informed. So come here and ask your questions.

Hello,

The store owner or clerk will not take your light back? What store is it, is it a chain store? If so, I would try to call the district manager or someone else. They really should take the light back, that just is not right. Can you take your mom with you to talk with them?
I am sorry, it is just most of the people that work in the petstores are just ill informed & are only trying to sell the products.
In the meantime, just use the basking light for now until you decide what you are going to do. He will need the Reptisun 10 flourescent tube bulb though. You can order it online at:

seems good this morning....she didnt ea much meat but blowed into her salad....

Yeas she was like i dont know if you tampered with this....i am not evebn sure of the name....retile feed or somthing

i think its her own shop..
