Today Mango ate an inch of semi-soft plastic from the artificial vine plant I have hanging in her viv. We purchased everything at PetSmart so I assume it is nontoxic. As an FYI, the plant has a suction cup on one end and 5 reddish flowers on the other end (for anyone that may own it). There really aren't leaves because the plant is made up of vine-like soft long spikes. I removed it from her viv to avoid any future problems, and I placed a salad in her viv. She is about 4-5 months old and about 7-8 inches long. She has been rambunctious all day and overly energetic because she is shedding (she keeps rubbing her head on things). She just pooped about an hour before she swallowed the plant. Should I be worried? She seems completely fine right now, and she is even eating her salad. All of the animal hospitals I called said to simply wait and see if she shows any signs of lethargy or constipation. But I'm a worry-wort... so has anyone out there had a beardie eat their fake plant decor by accident? Should I worry that this is fatal?
Thanks very much,
Justin
