Shaking head side to side as if to stab me while holding

So I have a one year old standard beardies named tank and when I pick him up he does the normal kind of flailing as I have really small hands and he is getting bigger than both my hands together but anyway sometimes he does this thing where he shakes his head from side to side like he is trying to stab me with the spikes on the side of his head. Just trying to find out if that's kinda normal or if he is weird cause our white/yellow dinner 10+ years has never done it and we are just curious.

Has he always done that? I’ve never seen that personally and would bet money that he’s not trying to hurt you they are so docile lol. My guy flails around if my son picks him I think it’s because he has smaller hands. As my dragon got bigger I started lifting him with one hand then sliding my other hand underneath and kind of plop him halfway up my arm so his whole body is supported. Sometimes if their tail isn’t supported they start going crazy . You know what else I have my son do is lay a blanket down right next to our beardie in the enclosure and just barely lift him up and put him in the blanket then lift him up with the blanket so he feels more supported. My dragon is always laying on his fleece blanket in his viv anyway(because he’s incredibly spoiled and prefers his blankie lol than a rock or branches lol). He wouldn’t last 5 minutes in the wild. So we just lift him out with his blanket and he doesn’t flail around.

Yes he has always done it and yeah I don't believe he is actually trying to hurt me it's almost like it's kind of a sassy game like haha I'm gonna poke ya and run three inches away and make u come get me
He absolutely loves me and prefers to snuggle with me rather than be in his tank
I trained him to be my emotional support animal so I do 90% of handling him I support his front half with one hand and his hind legs and tail with the other cause if I don't he helicopter tails and that just looks uncomfortable and make noises that makes me feel like he would hurt himself (luckily he hasn't hurt himself doing that) but yeah I couldn't find any info online about the side to side movement it is definitely odd but he is completely healthy very deep but healthy
