Sealed Wood Floor for Enclosure??

I am building a 4x2x2 Birch Plywood Enclosure. I have stained the inside and out and polyurethaned it in and out (a 2-in-1 stain and poly). I am going to seal the inside with mod podge to kill any lingering fumes or toxins. This got me to thinking. Can I just put 2-3 coats of Mod Podge on the wood flooring and be done with it and not have to worry about tiling? I know the mod podge on the rock/grout items I made will make cleanup easy so I wondered if I could do the same with the wood flooring of the enclosure. Any thoughts or opinions?

Mod podge turns cloudy when wet. It actually is a pain to clean the DIY rocks for that reason.

I'd go with tile. The modpodge over wood would be like walking on an ice rink IMO.

You could put some sand on silicone-the aquarium kind or a safe silicone caulk- I think the correct type is Window and Door. If you don't have any caulk or silicone lying around, you could use a different sealant. Then, put sand of a similar color to your wood on the last layer of sealant. Hope this helps!!!
